With Satguru's grace and blessings, a small group of IT professionals started a Gurbani Discussion Group in 2005 at Secunderabad Gurudwara in Hyderabad, India. The group called SOCH (Sikh Organization for Culture & Heritage) started with discussions on Japji Sahib (With a Pauri discussed by an individual each week) alongwith Shabad Kirtan for an hour every Sunday. The main aim has been to understand in-depth the meanings behind every word used in various Banis to implement those virtues in our daily lives.
With the inclusion of more and more members each week, the group with the guidance and wonderful insights by Col Uncle & Jaspal Uncle has been instrumentental in inculcating a rigorous thought process on Shabad Arth in the minds of young software professionals. At present as we are holding discussions on Jaap Sahib, we came up with a thought to record and maintain all the discussion threads in a blog for others' benefit (including those dear SOCH members) who are presenly onsite in US.
This is a blog for each one of us to not only gain from all the Sunday discussions but also share our comments and dispel all the doubts which we might have on related topics and how to implement Gurus' teachings in the most beneficial manner. Each of us can share their insights, incidents, thoughts and even other links which they find good enough to share with all.
Let us seek His Kripa in making this endeavour too a success so that we can interalize and actualize His Naam each and every moment.
